How do I Renew SAS 9?
Below is an example of how to renew SAS 9.1 (or 9.1.2 or 9.1.3) based on a SID file.
Step A: Obtain the renewal file from CIT:
- Go to CIT's website at http://cusoftware.cornell.edu/licenses/sas.html.
- Download the appropriate file for your version of SAS.
- Save the file that you download from CIT as a ".txt" file to a folder on your PC, and remember where you've saved it!
TIP: To determine what version of SAS you currently have:
- Start --> All Programs --> SAS ---> SAS9.1.
- From the "help" menu --> choose "About SAS..."
- Close SAS when you are done.
Step B: Open the SAS renewal utility and follow the
instructions you see on the screen. Below is an example:
- Start -> All Programs -> SAS -> SAS 9.1 Utilities -> Renew SAS Software.
- Then you should see the window below:
- You can the use the Browse button to locate the SID file, or type in the path and file name. Then choose "Next".
- You should see a window like this. Choose "OK".
- Choose "Renew".
