11/01/2000: NOTE TO ALL GAUSS USERS: GAUSS Version 3.5 is still unavailable on the Athena nodes. The problem is being investigated. In the meantime -- to use gauss on these nodes please go to "Start" --> "Programs" --> "Gauss" (rather than "Gauss35").
10/30/2000: NOTE TO ALL ATHENA USERS: Please note that ctclogin1 and ctclogin2 will be rebooted between 7am and 7:30am on Wednesday, November 1. This means that for a brief period of time you will not be able to log on to Athena or change your password.
9/22/2000: ATHENA NEWS: The operating system on all of the Athena nodes has been updated today. SAS on all nodes has been upgraded to Version 8.1, and includes the Enterprise Miner module. DBMS/COPY has been added to all nodes. A trial version of Stat/Transfer is on all nodes. Gauss users please note: Gauss 3.5 is currently unavailable. Please use version 3.28 for now.
9/1/2000: REMINDER FOR ALL ATHENA USERS: TO CHANGE YOUR ATHENA PASSWORD: Use telnet to login to "ctclogin1.tc.cornell.edu" or "ctclogin2.tc.cornell.edu". When the command prompt appears type in the command "ccpasswd". Follow the instructions given for changing your password. Then log off immediately with the command "exit". Remember that login to these ctclogin nodes are for the purpose of changing your password only. To use the Athena cluster nodes you must make a connection via Terminal Server Client Software, as described in the Athena Basics document at: ciser.cornell.edu\athena\athena.html.
