CISER Welcomes Lynda Kellam, new Senior Data Librarian/Archivist

CISER is pleased to welcome our new Senior Data Librarian/Archivist, Lynda Kellam. Lynda arrived at CISER last month after 12 years as Research Data Services Coordinator and Assistant Director of the International & Global Studies program (since 2016) at UNC Greensboro. Lynda has expertise in data management workflows; data curation; finding, accessing, and using data in the social sciences and history; international data sources; and the use of qualitative and quantitative data software, particularly ATLAS.ti and RStudio. She will also serve as CISERs Designated Representative for ICPSR. Lynda was recently selected as the 2019 recipient of the ACRL ULS Outstanding Professional Development Award for creating the webinar series “Help! I’m an Accidental Government Information Librarian,” and has written extensively on the profession, including Numeric Data Services and Sources for the General Reference Librarian with Katharin Peter and as co-editor of Databrarianship: The Academic Data Librarian in Theory and Practice with Kristi Thompson. Lynda is excited to work with the researchers here at Cornell and is happy to answer any questions you may have or help you find the data you need.

In addition Lynda is the Association of College and Research Libraries member of the week for August 5, 2019. You can read more about her here.
